World Star Aviation was established October 1, 2003 by veteran aircraft industry executive John E. Flynn, former president of Triton Aviation Services Limited and executive vice president of GE Capital Aviation Services, and three other former members of Triton's senior management - Sean M. O'Connor, Garreth T. Slevin and Richard L. Zimmerman. World Star began operations with a contract to manage Triton's fleet, which provided immediate revenue to World Star and continuity to its customers.
